Group Dog Training Classes.
Active Dogzz is now providing obedience classes for puppies in the city of Ventura, CA (location depends on the class). Following dog/puppy group training courses require a prior sign up. Please no aggressive or reactive dogs are allowed in group classes! Safety of all participants is our priority. If you are in doubt, contact us for a consultation.
1. Puppy Basic Obedience Class $180 - 6 weeks course. Age 10-24 weeks. (must be fully vaccinated). Email us to sign up.
Next class is scheduled to start December 28th, 2024! (six classes will be held every Saturday at Camino Real park at 9am.). To reserve your place in group contact us and submit payment. No cancelations are allowed when made less than two weeks before the beginning of class. If cancelation is made before that time, you will receive full refund minus the processing fees.
In our puppy classes, we focus on helping you nurture a well-behaved and happy companion. Unlike some other programs that only teach basic commands like sit and stay, we're dedicated to building a strong and positive connection between you and your puppy.
Our classes are packed with practical tips and tools to tackle common dog behavior issues like door rushing, excessive barking, jumping, and more. Our experienced dog trainer, Val Darts, is committed to achieving outcomes that ensure both dogs and owners are happy.
Additionally, after each class, you'll receive an email summarizing what you've learned and providing homework for the week. At Active Dogzz, we take pride in delivering high-quality service and dog training to ensure you and your cherished companion have the best training experience possible.
You and your furry friends will learn: proper socializing skills, desensitizing to various "scary" triggers, impulse control, communication, basic body language skills and basic obedience commands (potty training tips, sit, down, stay, leave it, watch me, heel, loose leash walk, engagement and proper play)

2. Leash Manners Class. $40 (60 min. class)
Classes are held monthly. To sign up please contact us. (cancelation policy for this class is one week refunds will be issued minus the processing fees).
Developing a strong rapport with your canine companion begins with exploring the world together. More often than not, dogs miss out on leash walks due to the challenges they pose to their owners. When your dog pulls you down the street, it can be difficult to enjoy the walk. Consequently, many dogs receive fewer and fewer walks. This one-hour class will transform this situation for both you and your furry companion. You will acquire techniques that make walks enjoyable and fun. This class is recommended for dogs older than six months. To maximize the benefits of this class, it's advisable to teach your dog "sit" and "stay" prior to enrollment. If your dog has not yet mastered basic obedience, we recommend considering our group or private training classes for obedience.
